To the villagers and pilgrims In addition to the five main messages given at Medjugorje, Mother Mary has also given special messages to the villagers and pilgrims. These messages indicate the special role each plays in bringing about "peace, peace, peace - and only peace!": both are to be collaborators and witnesses in Our Lady's plan; they are to work with Her towards conversion of the world and reconciliation with God. Specifically, the villagers have been asked to convert and live Mother Mary's messages so that all who visit Medjugorje will be see their example and convert, in turn. The pilgrims, for their part, have been asked to witness to the messages and events of Medjugorje in their own area of the world. In this way, those who do not know about Medjugorje will be made aware. The ten secrets Each of the visionaries has been promised to receive ten secrets from Our Lady. These secrets detail happenings that will occur on Earth in the near future. Some of the secrets pertain to the whole world while others only to the visionaries themselves. At this time, three of the visionaries have received all ten secrets while three others have received only nine secrets. When a visionary receives their tenth secret, they stop seeing Mother Mary on a daily basis. When all of the visionaries have received all ten secrets, Our Lady will no longer appear on Earth.
