The praying of 7000 (2010 Edition)

Say a decade of the Rosary for peace, today

The Praying of 7000 is back for 2010!

Last year, we exceeded our goal by managing to offer up 7443 decades of the Rosary for world peace (I am still so excited about this).

This year, we are going to do it all again - only a little bit bigger. Our two goals this year will be:

Pray at least 7444 decades of the Rosary for world peace (that's one more decade than last year)
Get at least 2x as many people involved (1 new person for each of last year's participants)

We got a lot of work to do, so let's get at it! Here's a reminder of how The Praying of 7000 works:

Starting February 1, 2010, Mir Movement will encourage people to pray 1 decade of the Rosary (1 decade = 1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and 1 Glory Be) in petition for peace in the world. After a decade (or more) has been prayed, people are asked to add the decade to our online counter. By January 31, 2010, we plan on having 7444 decades prayed for world peace.

The point is simply to encourage an extra 7444 prayers for world peace - 7444 prayers that would have otherwise not been prayed.

Like last year, I make no promises as to how these prayers will be answered, but I am certain they will be; after all, Our Lady seems to have indicated Her approval of this initiative by inspiring it all over again in 2010 :)

Please help us to reach our goal. Take 15 minutes now and pray one decade of the Rosary asking God to grant peace in the world. And then, add your decade to our online counter.
